San Francisco

San Francisco is one of the world’s great cities. Attracting almost 17 million visitors per year, it is, in my opinion, second to none when it comes to a gorgeous location, a great restaurant scene, authentic neighborhoods, perfect weather (yes, I like fog and cold summers), incredible diversity, beautiful parks, world-class architecture, fascinating museums, and so many other urban surprises. It’s got it all – especially if you take the time to explore. It’s true, there are bad things about the city – skyrocketing cost of living, traffic congestion, absurd and ever-increasing rents (my current problem!), impossible-to-find parking — but all great cities have their problems, and San Francisco is no exception. If any of that gets to me, I just take a quick drive up and down the hills past charming Victorians, catch a glimpse of Coit Tower or the Golden Gate, grab a bite to eat at that new restaurant I’ve been wanting to try — and I remember just how much those pros I mentioned earlier really do outweigh the cons.
